It makes sense to use a linear system when pricing objects such as trim, baseboard, etc. Simply, enter How Many? Then enter the total length of the object in the Length of Object field. Then enter the size of the object in the Size of Object (Feet or decimal inches) field. The beauty of the linear system is that we can measure any height or width object, whether it be plywood, baseboard, trim, etc. When entering the size, you have a choice of either entering feet or decimal inches.

For instance, if the object was 2′ high, you would enter 2. If the object was a 4″ baseboard, you would enter the decimal equivalent of a foot, in this case .333.
