System Sundries
Sundries generally refer to additional accessories and supplies used in painting beyond the primary tools. Some examples of paint sundries include tape, plastic drops, sandpaper, caulking, putty, trays, thinners, and cleaning supplies.
A common range for sundries as a percentage of total material cost in a commercial painting company is approximately 12% to 15%. However, it’s important to note that this estimate may vary for each company, and maintaining accurate records of materials and sundries would provide a more precise assessment for your specific business.
We’ve entered 15% for you in the System Sundries % field but if you feel that you know exactly what percent sundries you carry, change it to reflect a better reality. The System Sundries Total will show you the dollar value of this choice.
The 2nd row shows us the System Material Sub Total $, System Labor Sub Total $ and the System Mat/Lab Sub Total $ results of your System Sundries % choice.
