Soffit

Creating a soffit is a breeze. In some areas, they’re referred to as bulkheads but usually when referring to the face and underside as one unit. We do consider that a soffit is the underside portion (ceiling part) of a small ceiling-type object. Some people do refer to soffits as a (2′ down (the fascia) by 2′ across (the soffit)) type objects but in our estimating course, we teach that the face is called a fascia and the underside is the soffit. Most times the face will be painted with the wall paint and the soffit will be painted with the ceiling paint, so get in the habit of taking these off separately.
